The City and Borough of Juneau Planning Commission meets on Jan. 23, 7 p.m. in City Hall Assembly Chambers to consider the following eight cases. Applications on these items have been submitted and are up for public hearing.

UP FOR RECONSIDERATION AFTER BEING DENIED ON 12/12/17:

Request for a Rezone in Auke Bay (AME2017 0013)

A request for a zone change from D-10 (Residential) to LC (Light Commercial) for 4 properties, located at 3853 Bayview Ave, 12020 Glacier Highway, 11998 Glacier Highway, and 11950 Glacier Highway.

Proposed Revision to Title 49 Regarding Variances (AME2016 0002)

Marijuana Cultivation & Retail Businesses (USE2017 0028 & USE2017 0029)

A request for two Conditional Use Permits to operate a marijuana retail store and a marijuana cultivation facility at 2771 Sherwood Lane, in an Industrial zone.

Adding 3 Units to a Multifamily Condominium Development (USE2017 0027)

A request to amend a multifamily condominium development approved by the Planning Commission on 6/28/2016 (USE2016 0018), to include 3 additional units at 4401 Riverside Drive, in a D-15 residential zone.

Title 49 Code Amendment (AME2017 0017)

A text amendment to CBJ code 49.25.430(4) to provide for a setback reduction for exterior energy improvements, borough-wide.

Communications Tower Lease Renewal (CSP2017 0018)

The renewal of a lease for an existing communications tower located at 3000 Jackson Road, in a Rural Reserve zone.

Sale of 4 CBJ Lots (CSP2017 0017)

CBJ proposes to sell four lots in the Lemon Creek Industrial area and purchase one lot at 1721 Anka Street for use by the CBJ Recycle Works program. CBJ facilities on the 4 lots will be relocated following approval.
