Planning Commission meets February 27. Here’s how to weigh in.
The City and Borough of Juneau Planning Commission meets on February 27, 7 pm in City Hall Assembly Chambers to review a request to lease the Eagle Valley Center ropes course to Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL) and to consider a text amendment to the Land Use Code regarding variances. Both of these items are up for public hearing.

A proposal to lease the Eagle Valley Center ropes course to SAIL (CSP2018 0002)
Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL) is a non-profit organization that provides independent living services and advocacy for people with physical and mental disabilities. They request leasing the ropes course, which currently is managed by the CBJ Parks and Recreation Department. As part of the lease agreement, SAIL will upgrade and maintain the course in order to make it safe and available for the public and more accessible for people with mobility restrictions.
