Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee to discuss off-road vehicle park

The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee meets tonight, April 5, at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom to discuss next steps for a proposed off-road vehicle (ORV) park located on CBJ-owned property approximately 35 miles out the road. The committee will consider a recommendation to the Assembly to support additional research and development of the proposal.

Then, on April 11, the Lands, Housing and Economic Development Committee will also consider a recommendation to the Assembly. With Assembly support, the next steps will be design development, additional study of the proposal, permit applications and consideration by the Assembly of an ordinance to support a partnership with the Juneau Off-Road Association.
