July 30, 2021 – Notices for Public Comment

The following items are scheduled for a public hearing by the City and Borough of Juneau Alaska Assembly, on Monday, August 2, 2021.  The agenda and packet material for this meeting will be posted on the CBJ website at https://juneau.org/assembly/assembly-minutes-and-agendas by close of business the business Friday, July 30.

The Assembly will follow COVID protocols in accordance with CDC guidelines, CBJ ordinances & resolutions, and COVID mitigation strategies at the time of the meeting. Assemblymembers will be meeting in person, to the extent possible. In-person public participation will be limited on a first come, first served basis in accordance with room capacity protocols. Masks are required for anyone in the room who is not fully vaccinated. Attendees in excess of the room capacity protocols may be requested to participate via Zoom webinar. Testimony time will be limited by the Mayor based on the number of participants. Members of the public are encouraged to send their comments in advance of the meeting to BoroughAssembly@juneau.org. Ordinance 2021-08(b)(am)(A) An Ordinance Appropriating $34,240 to the Manager as Funding for Multiple Training Events for the Juneau Police Department; Grant Funding Provided by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Program, FY18 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.

Ordinance 2021-08(b)(am)(B) An Ordinance Appropriating $42,300 to the Manager as Funding for Tourism-Related Services in the Summer of 2021; Funding Provided by Marine Passenger Fees.

Ordinance 2021-13 An Ordinance Amending the Land Use Code Related to the Coastal Management and the Habitat Provisions of Title 49.

Ordinance 2021-19 An Ordinance Establishing the Planning Commission as the Board of Adjustment.

Ordinance 2021-27 An Ordinance Amending the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Designation Map near 4650 North Douglas Highway from Medium Density Residential to High Density Residential.

Ordinance 2021-26 An Ordinance Amending the Official Zoning Map by Rezoning Channel View, Lot 1, Located near 4650 North Douglas Highway from D-15 to Light Commercial.

Ordinance 2021-31 An Ordinance Authorizing the Manager to Convey Approximately 380 Square Feet of City Property, Three Permanent Easements, and Ten Temporary Construction Easements to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities for a Douglas Highway Reconstruction Project.
