No new COVID-19 cases reported in Juneau

No new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Juneau today. Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,184 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 145 nonresidents. There are 12 active cases in Juneau and 1,312 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There is currently one person with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) reports 178 new people identified with COVID-19 – 173 are residents and five are nonresidents. The state also reports two deaths – a female Anchorage resident in her 70s and a male Fairbanks resident in his 70s – bringing to total number of resident deaths to 308. Alaska has had 59,165 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,528 nonresidents.

Vaccine information

According to DHSS, as well as data reported from the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 13,359 people in the Juneau region have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 7,598 are fully vaccinated.

Statewide, 220,568 people have received their first dose, according to DHSS, and 150,141 are fully vaccinated.
