No new cases of COVID-19 reported in Juneau today

No new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Juneau today. Cumulatively, Juneau has had 966 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 120 nonresidents. The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today is reporting seven new cases for Juneau, bringing the cumulative resident total for Juneau to 967 – one more than what the City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting. Public Health in Juneau is investigating the extra case.

There are 19 active cases in Juneau and 1,062 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There are currently two people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 353 new people identified with COVID-19 – 342 are residents and 11 are nonresidents. The state also reports two recent deaths – a male Anchorage resident in his 70s and a male Anchorage resident in his 60s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 219.

Alaska has had 47,334 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,565 nonresidents.
