Mill Campground closing for the season on Oct. 15
The last night to stay at the Mill Campground will be Wednesday, October 14. The campground is closing for the season on Thursday, October 15, at noon. All campers must have their belongings removed from campsites and the food storage lockers by noon on October 15.
The CBJ emergency warming shelter at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center (JACC) will continue providing overnight accommodations through fall and winter. The campground is operated by a cooperative agreement with the landowner, Alaska Electric Light & Power/AJT, and the campground management, CBJ Parks and Recreation Department with much assistance from Juneau Police Department, Juneau Alliance for Mental Health, CBJ Housing Program, the Glory Hall and Capital City Fire/Rescue.
The Mill Campground is scheduled to reopen in mid-April 2021.
