Meet the candidates for TMHS principal Feb. 19 & 20

The Juneau School District has completed a nationwide search for candidates for Thunder Mountain High School (TMHS) Principal. Three finalists will visit the school on February 19 and 20. Candidate resumes are available here.

The community is invited to meet the candidates at a Community Open House on Wednesday, February 19, from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the TMHS library.

Public interviews will be held Thursday, February 20, beginning at 8 a.m. in the TMHS library. An interview panel, which includes representatives from the school’s certificated staff and classified staff, district administration and the Site Council, will conduct the interviews. Written public comment cards will be available at the open house and during the interviews. The panel will consider the public comments during their deliberations.

8:00-8:50 a.m. interview – Jon “Caen” Dowell, Nome-Beltz Jr/Sr High School Assistant Principal, Nome

9:10-10:00 a.m. interview – Kristine “Kristy” Germain, Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School Assistant Principal, Juneau

10:20-11:10 a.m. interview – Steve Morrow, Whitewright High School Principal, Texas
