Juneau high schools to hold COVID-19 vaccine clinic this Friday, April 9

All Juneau students age 16 and up have an opportunity to get a COVID-19 vaccine this Friday, April 9. The vaccine clinic will begin at 10 a.m. at Thunder Mountain High School and at 12 p.m. at Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé. To sign up your child, fill out this vaccine request by Tuesday, April 6, at 4 p.m. and you will be emailed a permission form and other relevant information.

The free clinic is organized by Juneau School District in partnership with Bartlett Regional Hospital and City and Borough of Juneau. The clinic will be distributing the Pfizer vaccine, which is authorized for ages 16 and up. A second-dose clinic will be held on April 30.

Everyone getting the vaccine will be monitored for 15 minutes for any adverse reactions. Masks are required at the clinic.
