Juneau-Douglas City Museum offering free tours of Capitol artwork for First Friday Sept. 6

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum tour guides Betsy Longenbaugh, Jim Baldwin and Sally Donaldson will provide free tours of the artwork in the Alaska State Capitol on September 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. for First Friday.

The Alaska State Capitol houses artwork by a variety of artists including Sydney Laurence, Byron Birdsall and Herb Bonnet. Tour guides will gather at the Seward Street entrance to greet visitors. Tours will include viewing of artwork throughout the building, information about the Capitol, and state history. Admission to the Juneau-Douglas City Museum will also be free during this event.
