Join Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer events at Treadwell Arena September 14-15

For the second year in a row, the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation (CARES) has partnered with Treadwell Arena for a fundraising effort to support CARES Foundation’s cancer research and Juneau’s Cancer Connection, a grassroots non-profit organization working to assist Alaskans living with cancer. From September 14-15, Treadwell Arena invites the community to take part in the following events:

• Youth Co-Ed 3v3 Hockey

Saturday, September 14         12:30 – 6 p.m.

Sunday, September 15            9:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

• Remembrance Walk (Presented by the Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation and Southeast Radiation Oncology)

Saturday, September 14         12 p.m.

• Open Skate

Sunday, September 15            1 – 2:30 p.m.

All events, including the Remembrance Walk start and finish, will take place at Treadwell Arena.

Registration is required. To register and see full event details, visit fundraise.scottcares.org/juneau. Walk-up registration is available for some events, but please be aware that youth 3v3 hockey teams must register by Tuesday, September 10.

All registration fees go to fundraising for CARES’ national cancer research as well as Cancer Connection’s travel assistance program, providing financial grants for expenses related to cancer care services outside Southeast Alaska.
