Figure skater and Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton is coming to Juneau—and he’s bringing friends. Join Hamilton on Saturday, September 30 as he hosts two special ice shows at Treadwell Arena featuring Olympians Polina Edmunds and Alaska’s Keegan Messing as part of a celebration weekend of Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ special events.

The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation (CARES) has partnered with Treadwell Arena for a fundraising effort to support CARES Foundation’s cancer research and Juneau’s Cancer Connection, a grassroots non-profit organization working to assist Alaskans living with cancer. From Friday, September 29 to Sunday, October 1, Treadwell Arena will host events including adult and youth hockey, a Remembrance Walk, open skate, and celebration ice shows.

The ice shows will take place on Saturday, September 30 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Hamilton, the 1984 Olympic men’s figure skating gold medalist, will emcee. In addition to performances from local skaters, the shows will feature 2014 Olympian Polina Edmunds and 2018 and 2022 Olympian Keegan Messing from Girdwood, Alaska. Seating is limited and guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
