Eaglecrest’s snow streak continues; 43 consecutive days with snowfall!

March 1, 2020 – News

Eaglecrest Ski Area has received snowfall for 43 consecutive days, including every day for the month of February and over two feet in the last week alone.

Since January 19, 2020, Eaglecrest’s summit snow stake has received over 185 inches of snowfall. The base snow total is not far behind at 139 inches.

The snow streak projects to continue through Thursday, March 5. NOAA’s seven-day forecast is showing cold temps and snow, before turning partly sunny on Friday. After, potentially, 47 days with snowfall, Eaglecrest pass holders will happily take in sun rays and panoramic ocean views from Pittman’s Ridge.

Eaglecrest’s average annual snowfall over the past ten years is 320 inches, including a record season in 2011-12 with 640 inches. The 2019-20 season total is now over 310 inches.

Regular operating hours are Thursday to Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eaglecrest is open daily over Spring Breaks (Mar. 19 – 30). Learn more about Eaglecrest Ski Area at www.skieaglecrest.com.
