Due to weather, CBJ offices will open at 10 am, JSD schools closed, buses on winter routes today, Jan. 11

Due to weather conditions, CBJ offices will not be open to the public until 10 a.m. today, Friday, January 11. CBJ will be operating under severe weather policy, which means employees are expected to come to work and a liberal leave policy will be in effect.

All Juneau School District schools and programs will be closed today due to weather conditions in the Juneau area. All classes, RALLY, meetings, and after school programs have been cancelled. At this time, high school basketball games will take place as scheduled. (Please check http://www.juneauschools.org for updates)

Certificated and classified school-term employees do not report to work. Substitute, temporary and hourly employees do not report to work. All administrators, supervisors, and 10 and 12 month classified employees are to report to work as usual when it is safe to do so.

Capital Transit is implementing Winter Route Changes until midnight tonight. Service will be discontinued on Cordova Street, Davis Avenue, Lemon Creek Road, and Franklin and Fourth Streets Downtown:

No service on Cordova Street.  Please wait for the bus at the Breeze Inn stop.
No service on Franklin or 4th street.  Please wait for the bus at the Downtown Transit Center stop.
No service on Davis Avenue and Lemon Creek Road.  Please wait for the bus at Glacier Highway.
