Construction on D Street & 1st Street (Douglas) begins in July

Construction begins in July (est. week of July 22) on the Douglas D Street to 1st Street Reconstruction Project and is expected to continue through mid-September. Work will include the replacement of underground waterlines, sewer lines, storm drain utilities, replacement of the existing roadway resurfacing, and more.

The construction area includes D Street from 1st Street to 2nd Street and 1st Street from D Street to Dock Street. Please drive slowly, watch for traffic control signs or partial road closures, and be alert to construction workers and equipment in the area.
