Community Development Block Grant proposals due Aug. 21
Do you have a project that will benefit low-income individuals or families? Or an idea for a project that will help victims of domestic violence, severely disabled adults, the elderly, or neighbors experiencing homelessness? The City and Borough of Juneau Community Development Department is looking to partner with a nonprofit agency on an application for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
The Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development (DCCED) administers funds for the CDBG program, which can be as much as $850,000 per project. After CBJ selects a partner, CBJ and the agency will enter a statewide grant competition. DCCED will ultimately disperse grant funds to applications that rank the highest. Please contact Laurel Christian at the Community Development Department at 586-0761 or [email protected] to discuss what information is needed with a project proposal.
Proposals are due August 21 no later than 4:30 p.m. Project proposals will be reviewed by the Juneau Assembly on September 16.
