Changes Coming to Household Hazardous Waste Facility

The City and Borough of Juneau’s Household Hazardous Waste facility, located at 5600 Tonsgard Court, has some changes coming this summer. An additional drop-off day will be added for both residents and businesses, the accepted list of materials will be updated, and the daily drop-off limit will be increased to help clean out those garages and sheds.

Saturday, June 18 will be the last day for residential drop-offs. The facility will be closed to the public for roughly two weeks while the facility is cleaned and prepared for the new operations to be finalized.  We anticipate being able to have operations up and running by July 7.  Residents and businesses are asked to properly store any household hazardous waste until the facility reopens in July.
