CBJ reports seven new COVID-19 cases in Juneau July 3-7

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center reports seven new individuals identified with COVID-19 in Juneau for July 3 – 7. Six individuals are residents and one is a nonresident. Of the resident cases, Public Health attributes three cases to secondary transmission, one to community spread, and two are under investigation. The nonresident is a visitor.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,389 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 171 nonresidents. There are 11 active cases in Juneau and 1,544 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There are currently two people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports 214 new people identified with COVID-19 in the past five days – 198 are residents and 16 are nonresidents. Alaska has had 68,674 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,924 nonresidents.
