CBJ reports one new COVID-19 case in Juneau June 22 & 23

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting one new resident identified with COVID-19 in Juneau for June 22 and June 23. How the person acquired the virus is under investigation.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,377 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 167 nonresidents. There are three known active cases in Juneau and 1,536 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports 81 new people identified with COVID-19 in the past two days – 75 are residents and six are nonresidents. The state also reports an additional death – a male Anchorage resident in his 80s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 367. Alaska has had 68,179 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,858 nonresidents.
