CBJ reports one new COVID-19 case in Juneau June 19-21

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center reports one new individual identified with COVID-19 in Juneau for June 19 – 21. Public Health attributes the case to secondary transmission. All 13 cases of the small daycare cluster have recovered, and Public Health considers it closed.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,376 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 167 nonresidents. There are five active cases in Juneau and 1,533 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports 93 new people identified with COVID-19 in the past three days – 86 are residents and seven are nonresidents. Alaska has had 68,112 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,851 nonresidents.
