CBJ reports one new COVID-19 case in Juneau

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting one new resident identified with COVID-19 in Juneau. Public Health is attributing the case to secondary transmission.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 966 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 120 nonresidents. There are 29 active cases in Juneau and 1,052 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There are currently two people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 206 new people identified with COVID-19 – 203 are residents and three are nonresidents. Alaska has had 47,006 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,554 nonresidents.
