CBJ reports one new COVID-19 case

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting one new resident with COVID-19. Public Health is attributing the case to secondary transmission.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 923 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 117 nonresidents. There are 42 active cases in Juneau and 993 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 359 new people with COVID-19 – 355 are residents and four are nonresidents. The state also reports three recent deaths today – a female Anchorage resident in her 70s, a male Anchorage resident in his 60s, and a male Anchorage residents in his 80s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 196.

Alaska has had 43,361 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,467 nonresidents.
