CBJ reports four new COVID-19 cases in Juneau

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting four new residents identified with COVID-19 in Juneau. Public Health is attributing three cases to community spread and one is under investigation.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,212 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 147 nonresidents. There are 16 active cases in Juneau and 1,338 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) reports 85 new people identified with COVID-19 – 83 are residents and two are nonresidents. Alaska has had 61,480 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,601 nonresidents.

Vaccine information

According to DHSS, as well as data reported from the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 15,328 people in Juneau have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 10,518 have completed their vaccine series.

Statewide, 247,146 people have received their first dose, according to DHSS, and 184,031 are fully vaccinated.
