CBJ reports four new COVID-19 cases in Juneau

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting four new individuals identified with COVID-19 in Juneau – three residents and one nonresident. Public Health attributes the three resident cases to secondary transmission, and they are part of a new cluster associated with a small daycare. The cluster is currently at six active cases.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,350 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 165 nonresidents. There are 20 active cases in Juneau and 1,490 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) reports 34 new people identified with COVID-19 – 32 are residents and two are nonresidents. Alaska has had 67,541 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,814 nonresidents.
