CBJ reports five new COVID-19 cases in Juneau July 10-12

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center reports five new individuals – four resident and one nonresident – identified with COVID-19 in Juneau for July 10-12. Of the resident cases, Public Health attributes two community spread and two are under investigation. The nonresident is a tourist.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,394 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 173 nonresidents. There are six active cases in Juneau and 1,556 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports 174 new people identified with COVID-19 in the past three days – 159 are residents and 15 are nonresidents. The state also reports two deaths – a female Anchorage resident in her 70s and a male Anchorage resident in his 80s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 374. Alaska has had 68,951 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,954 nonresidents.
