CBJ reports 10 new COVID-19 cases in Juneau

The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting 10 new residents with COVID-19 in Juneau. Public Health is attributing six to secondary transmission, one to out-of-state travel, and the rest are under investigation.

Public Health says the cluster associated with a small church in Juneau has concluded. The cluster had 14 cases total and all are recovered.

Cumulatively, Juneau has had 888 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 115 nonresidents. There are 52 active cases in Juneau and 946 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 284 new people with COVID-19 – 277 are residents and seven are nonresidents. The state reports three deaths – a male Anchorage resident in his 70s, a male Anchorage resident in his 80s, and a male Anchorage resident in his 90s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 178

Alaska has had 40,438 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,420 nonresidents.
