CBJ Facilities to Close Early Due to Weather, Road Conditions 

City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) facilities will be closing early today, Tuesday, March 3 due to deteriorating weather and road conditions. Residents are encouraged to limit driving and stay off the roads if possible.  

CBJ Facilities Closures: 

• The Dimond Park Fieldhouse closed at 1 p.m. All evening programing has been canceled. 

• The Dimond Park Aquatic Center and Augustus Brown Pool will close at 4 p.m. Swim lessons will be rescheduled. 

• All Juneau Public Libraries will close at 5 p.m. 

• Treadwell Arena will close at 5 p.m. 

• The Zach Gordon Youth Center will close at 6 p.m. 

• The Mount Jumbo Gym will be closed this evening.  

• Adult Coed Volleyball is cancelled tonight.  

• Youth basketball and all after school sports and activities have been canceled, including the BAM program. 

The Shéiyi X̱aat Hit (Spruce Root House) Emergency Youth Shelter will remain open.  

CBJ pools will have a delayed opening at 8 a.m. tomorrow, March 4.  

CBJ will provide additional information regarding facility operations tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.
