Assembly makes appointments to Hospital Board, Planning Commission & extends deadline for Systemic Racism Review Committee

The City and Borough of Juneau Assembly, at a Special Assembly Meeting held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 via Zoom Webinar, made the following appointments to the Bartlett Regional Hospital (BRH) Board and the Planning Commission.

BRH Board

The Assembly reappointed Hal Geiger, Deborah Johnston and Dr. Lindy Jones to the BRH Board, all for terms beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024.

Planning Commission

The Assembly reappointed Travis Arndt, Nathaniel Dye and H. Erik Pedersen to the Planning Commission all to terms beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024.

Systemic Racism Review Committee

With only one applicant, the Assembly moved to extend the application period for the Systemic Racism Review Committee through January 31 2022. The applicant, as well as any additional applicants will interview at a Special Human Resources Committee meeting in February with a final date/time of meeting to-be-determined.

The Assembly would like to thank those individuals who are willing to serve and have submitted applications for consideration. CBJ has a number of boards, commissions, and committees with vacant seats on a rotational basis.
