Calhoun Ave. closed Thursday, Oct. 15

As part of the City and Borough of Juneau’s Calhoun Avenue Reconstruction Project, CBJ contractor proHNS is closing Calhoun Avenue in Downtown Juneau to through traffic on Thursday, October 15, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please watch for construction and traffic signage in the area.

During the road closure, proHNS is performing ground penetrating radar to identify subsurface conditions and evaluating wastewater infrastructure. ProHNS is providing a civil engineering design for the project.

The Calhoun Avenue Reconstruction Project extends from Gold Creek to West 7th Street, including the intersections at Capitol Avenue, Goldbelt Avenue, and West 8th Street. The project will include new water, sewer and storm drain systems, as well as the reconstruction and repaving of the existing roadway and sidewalk.
