2025 CBJ Municipal Election – Preliminary Unofficial Results Posted

October 8, 2025 – News

Preliminary unofficial results for the 2025 CBJ Regular Municipal Election are now posted on the CBJ Elections webpage at https://juneau.org/clerk/elections. Results include all ballots received and verified through Monday, October 6. Based on the trends of previous elections, the preliminary unofficial results now posted are expected to represent approximately 50-60% of the final and total ballot count.

October 7, 2025 was Election Day for this year’s by-mail Municipal Election. Ballots were mailed to voters on September 19 and began returning on September 22.  To be counted in the election, all ballots were required to be returned by 8:00 p.m. or postmarked on Election Day.

Ballots cast on Election Day at Vote Centers, placed in Ballot Drop Boxes, or mailed and postmarked by Election Day are still being processed. A second set of unofficial results will be posted on Friday, October 10, with additional updates to follow as needed until certification.

As part of the review process, cure letters are being sent to voters to ensure any missing information or signature remedies are addressed so those ballots can be approved for counting. Voters are encouraged to watch their mail and respond as soon as they receive a cure letter to make sure their ballot can be counted.

The Canvass Review Board will meet October 20–21 to review and certify the election. Final official results will be posted once certification is complete on October 21. Certification may be delayed by up to three days on a case-by-case basis as may be required.
