The National Weather Service Forecasts-

TODAY...RAIN IN THE MORNING...THEN RAIN SHOWERS IN THE
AFTERNOON. HIGHS AROUND 44. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 MPH IN THE
MORNING BECOMING LIGHT AND VARIABLE.

TONIGHT...NUMEROUS RAIN SHOWERS. LOWS AROUND 34. LIGHT WINDS.

MONDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY. CHANCE OF RAIN SHOWERS. HIGHS AROUND 41. LIGHT WINDS BECOMING EAST 10 MPH IN THE AFTERNOON.

Temperatures remain quite warm with the Mt Roberts Tram and Eaglecrest Mid Mountain weather stations staying above freezing for several days now.

Yesterdays high at the Mt Roberts Tram summit reached 39f. Eaglecrest hit 38f at mid mountain.

Overnight lows came near freezing at Eaglecrest and Mt Roberts dropped to 33f.

Currently its 34f at the Tram and 33f at Eaglecrest. We may be picking up a little new snow on the upper part of our mountains.

Yesterday the tram picked up 4.1mm of precip and lost 2cm of snow. Eaglecrest picked up 5.1mm of precip and and only lost 1cm.

Currently avalanche danger is Considerable. Natural and Human Triggered avalanches both are possible.

Look to see continued wet slabs releasing on steep unanchored slopes. Look to also see wet loose avalanches at upper elevations were any traces of new snow are present from overnight.

Be aware of steep convex rolls on those unanchored slopes. Also be aware of areas of glide.

Slide sizes are not forecast to be large enough to effect the urban environment.

Tonight precipitation rates are forecast to drop off and temps are to cool over the next 24 hours. This should help with overall stability and bring danger back to moderate or low.
