The National Weather Service Forecasts-

THURSDAY NIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY. COLDER. LOWS 19 TO 25. NORTH

Yesterday around lunch time temperatures started falling. By 9pm temps at Tram Summit elevations had reached freezing. Currently it is 29f. Temps fell 8f degrees over a 16 hour period.

Eaglecrest also started warm yesterday with a high of 37f at mid mountain. Currently its 31f at the base area, 28f at mid mountain and 26f on top.

After 8 days of warm temps and not much new snow these cooler temps are helping to solidify the snowpack in place.

Avalanche danger is LOW at this time. Both Natural and Human Triggered avalanches are unlikely.

Continue to be aware of areas of glide and note those areas as weak. Glide avalanches are hard to predict and often occur at the end of a warm spell as you go into cooling... but truly they are very hard to predict so simply avoid areas with glide.

Be safe out there and have a great day.

With no significant precipitation in the forecast and temperatures continuing to cool over the next 48 hours avalanche danger will remain low.
