We have received around 3\" of rain in the last 18 hours. Temperatures have warmed to +4c at the Mt Roberts Tram Summit and to above freezing at the Eaglecrest summit as well.

That is a tremendous amount of rain for one day! We are expecting as much as another inch in the next 6 hours and total over the next 24 hours.

These are the warmest temperatures and the most precip we have seen in quite some time. Avalanche danger is HIGH today into tomorrow. Precip volumes should slow down tonight into tomorrow but temps should stay quite warm. Over time due to lower precip volumes our danger will start to reduce. But not until after the precip rates fall of significantly.

This rain and warming is stressing the new snow we have received over the last 10 days. It will also stress and test previously dormant weak layers deeper in the snowpack. Please avoid avalanche zones today. Please avoid the Flume and perseverance trails. Please do not walk in the gated areas above the Berhands neighborhood. Please do not walk, jog, or park along Thane Road. Avoid avalanche danger by avoiding avalanche terrain.
