The City and Borough of Juneau Engineering & Public Works Department Streets Division is recruiting for a permanent full-time Equipment Operator I. As a part of the Street Maintenance Crew, you will perform various tasks associated with the year-round maintenance of CBJ streets. This includes operating heavy and light-duty equipment; asphalt patching; traffic control; and maintenance of vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts, drainage structures, and road surfaces.

This position, located at CBJ’s Street Maintenance Shop at 7100 Glacier Highway, comes with full benefits. Starting pay is between $26.10 and $27.91 hourly depending on qualifications. The City and Borough of Juneau will be at the Juneau Job Fair happening this Friday, April 15, at the Nugget Mall 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The job fair, hosted by the Alaska Department of Labor & Workforce Development’s Juneau Job Center, is the first in-person event in over two years. The City and Borough of Juneau is recruiting for two permanent, part-time Capital Transit Bus Drivers to work in the Engineering & Public Works Department. The positions come with full benefits and pays $27.91 hourly.
 
The part-time positions are guaranteed up to 30 hours per week depending on their schedule. Bus Drivers frequently have the opportunity to work additional hours to fill in for drives who are on leave. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and able to provide safe and courteous transportation to the public.
