CBJ looking to improve emergency services with additional ambulance crew

The City and Borough of Juneau is constantly looking at and evaluating its abilities to provide an appropriate level of service to the community, and sometimes that means adjusting. Due to a spike in demand for emergency services, Capital City Fire/Rescue recently underwent an operational review with an outside consultant to determine how CCFR can best meet public safety needs. CBJ already setting the stage for tourism growth

Last summer, Juneau celebrated a ribbon cutting for new cruise ship docks, which were known to many as “16B” due to the number of configurations considered before the final design was selected. It took more than 10 years to navigate the public process to build this project. To say the least, financing, permitting and construction on Juneau’s very active waterfront is complex and takes time.
