Juneau-Douglas City Museum Accepting Applications for Solo Artist Exhibitions Until October 31
The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is accepting applications from local artists who are interested in mounting an exhibition at the City Museum between November 2027 and February 2028. The deadline to apply is Saturday, October 31 at 11:59 p.m.
From November through February each year, the City Museum provides gallery space for solo artists and groups of artists to exhibit new works of art for 1 to 2 months. The City Museum encourages a variety of exhibition ideas and considers applicants working in all media. If selected, artists must be prepared to hang the exhibit, produce labels, and design posters and postcards. All exhibitions include an opening reception at the City Museum, and artists may have the opportunity to host a talk or workshop.
Applications can be downloaded from the Juneau-Douglas City Museum website or picked up from the City Museum. Applicants must submit a complete application, including five examples of past or current artwork, an image list that corresponds with examples of work, a brief exhibit statement describing the proposed exhibition, and an artist resume. Complete applications can be emailed to [email protected], mailed to the City Museum at 155 Heritage Way, Juneau, AK. 99801, or dropped off at the City Museum located at 4th and Main Street.
