Project Playground at Twin Lakes Closed for Cleaning on July 15 

Project Playground at Twin Lakes will be closed today, July 15, for deep cleaning. The park is expected to reopen to the public at 5 p.m. or earlier. Visit the City and Borough of Juneau’s Parks & Recreation Facebook page for updates on the park’s reopening.  

Park Maintenance staff will be pressure washing the park to clean up from a possible act of vandalism that made park surfaces unsafe without deep cleaning. Staff worked Tuesday afternoon to address the immediate mess.  

CBJ asks the public to remember that parks are public property requiring regular maintenance. Additional cleanup requires CBJ to spend additional staff time and expenses. Residents can contact the CBJ Parks & Recreation department to report any damage or safety hazards to CBJ parks or facilities.
