CBJ reports one new COVID-19 case in Juneau March 20-22
The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting one new resident identified with COVID-19 in Juneau for March 20-22. Public Health is attributing the case to out-of-state travel.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,184 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 145 nonresidents. There are 14 active cases in Juneau and 1,310 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There is currently one person with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.
Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) reports 357 new people identified with COVID-19 over the past three days – 349 are residents and eight are nonresidents. Alaska has had 58,993 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,521 nonresidents.
Vaccine information
According to DHSS, as well as data reported from the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 13,336 people in the Juneau region have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 7,570 are fully vaccinated.
Statewide, 219,049 people have received their first dose, according to DHSS, and 148,634 are fully vaccinated.
