Parks & Recreation now offering winter shelter reservations

The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation Department is now offering shelter reservations during the winter months. Instead of crossing your fingers that a shelter will be available when you need it, plan ahead and reserve it. Winter shelter reservations are available through March 31 and cost $20 per hour.

To reserve a shelter, fill out this form and email it to [email protected]. The form can also be mailed (Parks & Recreation, 155 S. Seward St. Juneau, AK 99801), faxed (586-4589), or dropped off at the Parks & Recreation office in City Hall.

Similar to the summer months, if a shelter is not reserved, it is still available for public use on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, park bathrooms are not available, but portable toilets are available at Savikko Park and Twin Lakes.
