General Description
This is a two-story building. It is wood frame with a hip roof. It has a concrete foundation and is sided with asphalt shingles. There is a one-story hip roofed appendage along the front elevation. The front appendage appears to have been a porch which was enclosed, a building form reminiscent of Colonial Revival with very modest detailing.
Historical InformationTwo houses on Lot 6 were owned by Charles Boyle as early as 1901. From 1915-1936 the houses were listed on the tax rolls as property of Sisters of St. Ann?s and exempt from taxes. They were then acquired by Mrs. Margret Roden, wife of attorney Henry Roden, who owned a number of properties in Juneau.
