CBJ Ballot Processing Center

Today, October 4, 2022, is Election Day for the CBJ Regular Municipal Election which is being conducted as a By Mail/hybrid election. Voters were mailed ballots on September 13 and voters who have not yet cast their ballots have a number of options for voting but need to do it TODAY! They can drop off their voted ballots in one of our two drop boxes, located at Douglas Library and the Auke Bay Statter Harbor boat launch parking lot, at one of the two Vote Centers by 8pm tonight, or mail them in (please make sure to get it postmarked if you are mailing it today.)

The polling precincts used for State elections will NOT be open today but voters who need assistance or a replacement ballot can go to one of the two Vote Centers, located at the Mendenhall Valley Library and City Hall. Vote Centers will be open 7am-8pm today. All ballots cast at the Vote Centers are processed as by mail ballots along with all other ballots at the new CBJ Ballot Processing Center.

Drop boxes will stop accepting ballots when they are locked at 8pm. If voters choose to place their ballots in the mail today, we strongly urge voters to take it in person to a USPS location and ask that a legible postmark be placed on the ballot return envelope to ensure we can count it.

Preliminary, unofficial results from ballots that have been processed through Friday, September 30, will be posted online after 8:00p.m. tonight.
