At around 3:10 pm on June 25, 2022, dispatch received multiple 9-1-1 calls about a motor vehicle collision involving a red 2017 Jeep Liberty and a person on a bicycle on Egan Drive near Gold Creek.
JPD officers, Capital City Fire/Rescue, Juneau Citizen’s Patrol, and the JPD Major Accident Reconstruction Team responded. The bicyclist, a 13 year-old female, was transported to BRH and will be medevaced to Seattle due to the severity of her injuries. The in-bound lanes of Egan Drive were closed for almost 4 hours. The investigation continues.
