On 04/08/2022, the Juneau Police Department began an investigation into the allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor. The complainant reported to police that 60-year-old Craig Raymond Foster had been sexually abusing a juvenile female. It was reported that the abuse took place at Foster's home and occurred over the period of the past three years.

Following the investigation, on 04/26/2022, at about 4:00 p.m., Juneau Police Detectives contacted Foster at his home, located in the 4300 block of Taku Blvd. and placed him under arrest. Foster was taken to the Lemon Creek  Correctional Center and held on the charge of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree, an unclassified felony offense.
