Summary:

The Juneau Police Department has updated the list of Crimes of the Month for November, 2021. These cases can be viewed below and are posted on the Juneau Crime Line website at www.JuneauCrimeline.com.

The Crimes of the Month are selected from crimes reported the previous month. They are selected based on the severity of the crime and impact on the community; as well as when the initial investigation has concluded and more information is needed to identify the person(s) responsible. Anyone with information is encouraged to log on to the Juneau Crime Line Web site to report their tip.  You may also call Juneau Crime Line at 907-523-7700 or JPD at 907-586-0600.  You may be eligible for a reward.

Case Number:211112-002 - Stolen Vehicle

On 11/12/2021, at approximately 7:47 a.m., JPD received a report of a white 2014 Ford van stolen from the driveway of a residence, located in the 9000 block of North Douglas Highway. At about 8:45 a.m. that same morning, the stolen vehicle was located at the end of North Douglas Highway, crashed in a guardrail. The complainant reported the vehicle was last seen the night before around 10 p.m. and the keys had been left inside the vehicle.

It is estimated that the vehicle sustained totaling damages as a result of the crash.

Case Number: 211119-501 - Stolen Tires

On 11/19/2011, JPD received a theft report from a residence in the 8600 block of Dudley Street. The complainant reported four ATV Maxxis 24X8-18 tires were stolen from a white zip up garden shed, located on the property.  The tires were last seen on 11/14/2021, at about 8 p.m. and are valued at about $400.

Case Number: 211124-013 - Theft from Vehicle

On 11/24/2021 at about 5:44 p.m., JPD received a theft report in the 8000 block of Airport Blvd. The complainant reported they left Juneau on 11/03/2021 and parked their vehicle, a 2000 turquoise Kia, at a business in the 8000 block of Airport Blvd, so the vehicle could get some maintenance done on it. On 11/22/2021, the complainant’s vehicle was ready to be picked up and that is when they noticed items missing from inside the vehicle. The complainant reported $1,700 cash and several personal paintings were stolen from an envelope within the vehicle.

Case Number: 211125-502 - Theft from Vehicle 

On 11/25/2021, JPD received a theft report from a vehicle located in the 20100 block of Cohen Drive. The complainant reported they had been outside their residence shoveling snow and had gone inside to get dry clothes. When they returned, they noticed several items were missing from their vehicle, a 2015 gold Lexus. The complainant reported the following items stolen: Bagolini purse containing credit cards, ID card, $580 cash, passports, misc. keys, cell phone and the title to the vehicle. The total value of the items stolen is about $700.
