Summary:

Case Number: 210808-006

On 08/08/21, JPD received a report from a business in the 9000 block of Cinema Drive, that someone had spray painted five of their windows, two doors and exterior lights fixtures, with red spray paint. The damage is estimated between $1,000 - $2,500. The complainant reported that an excavator on the property was also vandalized that same evening. The fluids to the excavator were removed, the air filter and fuse box was also smashed, causing about $2,000 in damages.


Case Number: 210816-002

On 08/16/2021, JPD received a report of a burglary at a residence in the 2200 block of Fritz Cove Road. The homeowner reported that sometime in the past month, the following items were stolen;

  • 17 maple leafs and Krugerrands (gold coins) – valued at $1,770- each
  • 3 silver bars, valued at approximately $1,770
  • Coin collection – valued at $5,000
  • $15,000 in cash
  • Miscellaneous jewelry items, such as bracelets, a men’s ring and a loose diamond – valued at about $4,000
  • Mandolin – valued at $800
  • Ovation guitar – valued at $400

Case Number: 210822-503

On 08/23/2021, JPD received a report of a stolen utility trailer from a property in the 6800 block of Glacier Highway. The complainant described the trailer as being black in color, with a 10’ bed with a drop loading ramp in the rear; the trailer is primarily used for transporting motorcycles. The trailer is valued at approximately $713.


Case Number: 210823-001

On 8/19/2021, JPD and CCCFR responded to a structure fire at an uninhabited house located in the 3600 block of Mendenhall Loop Rd. The cause of the fire is determined to be suspicious and possibly the result of being intentionally set. The house sustained significant damages due to the fire, but so far the estimated cost is unknown.
