On 06/03/2021, at about 11:43 a.m., the Juneau Police Department was notified of a deceased person found in the water at Statter Harbor, in the area of C and D floats.
The initial investigation into the cause of death does not appear to be suspicious at this time and the body of the deceased showed no signs of injury consistent with causing death. The deceased person has been identified as 48-year old Aaron James Lynk. Next of kin has been notified. Mr. Lynk is a resident at the harbor and was last seen earlier this morning near the vessel where it is believed he resides. Police are continuing to investigate how Mr. Lynk ended up in the water and his body will be sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Anchorage for an autopsy.
