On 03/19/2019, the Juneau Police Department began investigating a report of a possible sexual assault of a minor. The parent of a 14-year-old female reported her daughter was having a relationship with Christopher Isaiah Coulson, who was 19 years old at the time.
JPD Detectives investigated the report and learned that Coulson engaged in sexual intercourse with girl, while knowing that she was 14-years-old. The case was ultimately referred to the District Attorney's Office and on 04/22/2021, Coulson was indicted by a Juneau Grand Jury on the following charges:
- Charge 1: Sex Abuse of a Minor 2nd degree
- Charge 2: Sex assault 1st degree
- Charge 3: Assault 3rd degree
- Charge 4: Assault 3rd degree
Following the grand jury indictment, a warrant in the amount of $25,000 was issued for Coulson's arrest.
On 04/23/2021, Alaska State Troopers arrested Coulson in Juneau on the warrant and he was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
