On 02/09/2021, a package addressed from California, to a residence in Juneau Alaska, was found to contain 430 grams of methamphetamine. Members of the Southeast Alaska drug task force, SEACAD, delivered the package to it's intended designation, a residence in the 4300 block of Riverside Drive. The package was later taken to another residence in the 8100 block of Threadneedle Street. Members of SEACAD contacted the resident, who was identified as 63-year-old Kinarla Jane Miles. Miles was placed under arrest for one count of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony offense.
The 430 grams of methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $51,600.
Agencies involved with this arrest were US Postal Inspection Service, FBI, Coast Guard Investigative Service, DEA, Alaska State Troopers and JPD.
SEACAD, Southeast Alaska Cities against Drugs, is a taskforce comprised of municipal police departments, Alaska State Troopers, and Federal Law Enforcement Agents that work together to investigate drug importation and distribution in the Southeast Alaska region.
