On 03/20/2020, the Juneau Police Department received a report that 35-year-old Juneau resident Randy James Willard had sent sexually explicit videos of himself, to a 15-year-old female Juneau resident. JPD Detectives began an investigation into the allegations and after completing the investigation, referred the case to the Juneau District Attorney's Office. On 01/21/2021, a Juneau Grand Jury indicted Randy James Willard on the charges of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, a class B felony, sexual abuse of a minor in the third degree, a class C felony and distribution of indecent material to minors, a class C felony. Following the indictment, a $10,000 warrant was issued for Willards arrest.
On 01/26/2021, Willard was located at his residence in the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road and placed under arrest per the warrant. He was taken to the jail and held on $10,000 bail.
