Subject: Motor Vehicle Collision

Summary:

On 11/26/2020, at 0734 hours, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a vehicle that had driven off the roadway in the 18000 block of Glacier Highway and struck a residence.

The driver of the vehicle was a a 32-year-old male. He was operating a 2017 Ford bus and was travelling inbound on Glacier Highway when he drove off the roadway and struck a parked 2017 Toyota Tacoma. Both vehicles then went down the nearby embankment and struck a residence.

Both vehicles are believed to be totaled. The house sustained significant damages due to the crash, but the extent of damages is unknown. The driver of the Ford bus was the sole occupant and he was uninjured. The Toyota Tacoma and the house were unoccupied.

The driver of the Ford bus showed no signs of impairment and the cause of the crash is believed to be related to a medical issue. The driver was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
